Stowaway
A tab and session saver for Chrome and Edge. It takes automatic snapshots of your tabs and, once you turn them on, keeps backup files on your own disk.
Coming soon to the Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons.
What it does
Automatic snapshots
Every 15 minutes and shortly after your tabs change, Stowaway keeps a snapshot, so there's a recent copy to go back to after a crash or a stray click.
Backup files on your disk
Turn on backup files and Stowaway saves copies to Downloads/Stowaway, outside the browser, so a browser reset or reinstall leaves them in place.
Sessions with history
Save all windows or one. Each change to a session keeps the earlier version, so you can step back.
Restores what you had
Windows, pinned tabs and tab groups with their names and colors come back in new windows, leaving what's open alone.
Search and tidy
Search every saved tab, spot duplicates and remove them in one step, and list sites that snapshots should skip.
Bring your tabs over
Imports exports from OneTab, Session Buddy and Tab Session Manager, and exports to several formats of its own.
Your data stays with you
Stowaway keeps what it saves in your browser and, if you turn them on, in backup files on your computer. It has no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking, and NPG runs no servers that receive your tabs. It reads the address and title of your open tabs to save them, and nothing from inside the pages. The Privacy Policy has the details.
